Job Description: President

The President is a figurehead for the Club, elected each year at the AGM based on the recommendation of the Management Committee.

The Committee effectively make a proposal for the President to be either 'active' or have a 'PR Role'. The qualification for an 'active' President are several years experience of Bracknell Club Management.

Qualification for the 'PR Role' is a prominent public image. An 'active' President:

May attend Committee Meetings (with no voting rights).

Has a responsibility to try to ensure that the Club is managed in accordance with the constitution and to the benefit of all the members.

Assists with delicate or controversial matters arising, arranges a group to organise the President's Cup.

Chairs the AGM.

In a 'PR Role’ the President may delegate 'active tasks' to the Vice Presidents.
