Job Description: President

The President is a figurehead for the Club, elected each year at the AGM based on the recommendation of the Management Committee.

The Committee effectively make a proposal for the President to be either 'active' or have a 'PR Role'. The qualification for an 'active' President are several years experience of Bracknell Club Management.

Qualification for the 'PR Role' is a prominent public image. An 'active' President:

  • May attend Committee Meetings (with no voting rights).
  • Has a responsibility to try to ensure that the Club is managed in accordance with the constitution and to the benefit of all the members.
  • Assists with delicate or controversial matters arising, arranges a group to organise the President's Cup.
  • Chairs the AGM.

  • In a 'PR Role’ the President may delegate 'active tasks' to the Vice Presidents.
