Job Description: Treasurer
The Treasurer will set and control of the club’s finances as agreed by the Management
Committee. He/she will manage the day-to-day provision of funds to cover the costs of the club, including all
overheads and capital expenditure.
The main tasks of the treasurer therefore are:
To provide monthly and year to date accounts at the Management Committee meetings.
To provide funds, normally a cheque countersigned by another club officer or account signatory to
parties involved in the supply of coaching or training services to the club.
To manage the club accounts and the management of the audit process as required by club rules and
professional accountancy advice.
To provide year-end accounts with the presentation and adoption of the accounts at the AGM.
To plan and present of the club budgets for the following year with the on club fees to the Management
Committee.
To highlight and recommend to the Management Committee any financial contingency required covering any
variance to the club financial plan.
To chair the finance subcommittee and the production of minutes and actions to the Management Committee.
