Bracknell & Wokingham Swimming Academy

Introduction Times and Venues How to apply Ribbon Galas
Our club runs a very popular academy for younger swimmers based on the National Plan for Teaching Swimming (NPTS). This is a nationally recognised scheme which was completely revised by the ASA in 2007 and offers clearly defined progression levels from a non swimmer to a competitive club swimmer which are easily understood. The emphasis is to have fun in the water through recognised swimming practices ensuring that all those joining the programme learn a consistent level of skill at each stage of their personal development.

It is our policy to ensure the lessons are enjoyable, interesting and above all offer the highest standards of water confidence, skills and technique. We develop stroke techniques to the level where the children can prepare themselves for entry into the competitive squads. All pupils now have the opportunity to swim twice a week.
