We run three Ribbon Galas each year (October, February and June) and all
swimmers from stage 4 and above are invited to attend. The ribbon gala series is a friendly way of
introducing swimmers to competitive swimming, although we run the ribbon gala under ASA rules we are
lenient for our younger swimmers. They cover the main four strokes over 25m followed by a 4 x 25m
individual medley for those brave enough. Ribbons are awarded to the top six swimmers in each stroke
and age group with medals for the best swimmers overall in each age group. All swimmers from level 4
upwards are automatically entered for the Ribbon Gala.
