Following the success of the Age Group Championships, Chris Rowley, Gordon Laing, Jamie Shields, David Rowley, Tom Keen,
Caroline Wroe and Gemma Bannister have just returned from the Youth Championships. Our mens club captain, Chris Rowley,
qualified to compete in the finals of both the 100m and 200m backstroke event where he finished 7th and 10th respectively
achieving a personal best time in the 100m event of 59.39 sec. Jamie Shields qualified to compete in the final of the 100m
breaststroke where he failed to win a medal by only one place, finishing 4th in a personal best time of 1.07.41. Gordon
Laing achieved personal best times in both the 800m and 1500m where he finished 17th and 9th respectively. David Rowley and
Tom Keen competed in relay events whilst Caroline Wroe and Gemma Bannister performed well in a very competitive environment.
