Amersham Novice Gala Impressive win for our younger swimmers
On Saturday 1st October a team of junior swimmers aged between 9 & 12 from Minnows 1 and Swordfish travelled to Amersham to take part in the Amersham Novice Gala. The gala specifically for younger swimmers and those who have little experience of competing.

Bracknell starting the evening in great style finishing 2nd in the first relay (girls under 9 medley relay), from here we gained 20 first places, 14 second and 3 third places. A fantastic result from all the team.

“This was a terrific results for our younger swimmers, most of them have not represented the club before. The team effort and atmosphere was second to none and the parents did us proud with the biggest cheer of the night coming from the stands when we won by 60 clear points.” Said Mike Cox, Swordfish Coach.

“I must add, the starts, streamlining, finishes and stamina was great, we finished hard and took the lead in many of the races at the last 5-10m, which just shows how strong our younger swimmers are”, added Ceri Rance, Minnows 1 Coach.

The Final results were:
1st Bracknell203 points
2nd Chalfont143 points
3rd Hillingdon120 points
4th Bicester113 points
5th Wycombe90 points
6th Amersham59 points
