A small number of our leading swimmers travelled to Sheffield to compete at the Burns Open Meet where the standard of competition is always exceptionally high. Andrew and Kathryn Willis, Jamie Shields, Steven King, George Wilson and Annabel Humphreys achieved no fewer than 18 medals from the 27 swims between them.

Steven King also broke a number of junior and senior club records including the senior 200 freestyle which has stood for 28 years
