Success at South East Region Championships on day 1

A total of 18 BWSC youth swimmers competed at K2 in Crawley on day 1 of the SER Championships which continue on the 8th/9th May at the new Portsmouth pool. Competing against the best swimmers across the South East of England which extends from as far south as the Isle of Wight to Oxford and Milton Keynes in the Northern are of the region, our youth swimmers achieved a number of successes which included 13 finalists and 6 medals.

Club Captains Steven King and Kathryn Willis each won a brace of Gold Medals whilst George Wilson and Jamie Shields each won a bronze. Under the watchful eyes of Nigel and Louisa, the day represented a good start to the Championships.

The Age Group Championships take place over the weekends of 29th/30th May and 12th/13th June when our younger swimmers will have the opportunity to test themselves against the best from across the Region.
